LoanMart and the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes have teamed up to offer three $1,000 scholarships to exceptional high school students. The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and LoanMart are proud to announce the winners of the 2021 scholarship. Each winner has the opportunity to use the funding for college, university, or vocational school.
The winners of the 2021 LoanMart and Rancho Cucamonga Quakes Scholarship are Ford Melillo (attending Stanford University in 2021), Haley Aichlmayr (attending UC Irvine in 2021), and Rylee Fochtman (attending University of California Davis in 2021). All three winners have been tremendously involved in the community and plan to use their scholarship to further their educational goals. Winners of this united scholarship all graduated with a cumulative GPA of 4.0 or higher and prided themselves in being active members of the California community.
This scholarship was created to further the education of individuals within the California area that have demonstrated academic proficiency and are passionate about giving back. 2022 will mark the 9th consecutive year that this collaborative scholarship has been offered to high school students in the community! $26,000 and counting has been awarded to deserving students that have demonstrated academic prowess and community connection.
To qualify for this scholarship, ideal applicants are high school students in the California area that are involved in community service projects, student government, or extracurricular activities. In the past, the winners have been passionate about education, their community, and their futures. LoanMart and the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes continually support the young members of this community by offering this educational opportunity. The applicant’s desired major and school are not of consequence, as every major and life path offers a valuable addition to the community in the years to come.
There will be another opportunity to apply for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and LoanMart scholarship in 2022! The deadline for applying for this collaborative scholarship is May 20th, 2022. If you are a high school student that fits the criteria for eligibility, consider applying next year!
The requirements are as follows:
- Must Have a Strong Involvement in the Community
- Demonstrate Academic Ability and Have a Cumulative GPA of 4.0 or Higher
- Express Exceptional Leadership Skills and Outstanding Character
Applicants must also include a personalized essay, as well as transcript(s), and letter(s) of recommendation from relevant members of the community or academic mentors at their high school. The winners of the LoanMart and the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes Scholarship will be notified no later than June 26th, 2022.
